The FRP cooling tower utilized in the Shanghai Laogang Renewable Energy Utilization Center Phase II Project was designed by SPX Company. It is a mechanical ventilation mist elimination type cooling tower with ten rooms and a double-side air inlet mechanical ventilation cooling tower. Each cooling tower has a normal cooling water volume of 4000m3/h, and the total cooling water volume is 40000m3/h. The tower group is arranged in a single line on the southwest side of the plant area and is divided into two groups, each with five towers. The circulating water pump room is located on the east side of the tower area and is shared by both groups. The cooling tower has a pultruded FRP frame structure and a single tower height of 21.2 meters and width of 21.1 meters. In total, more than 400 tons of FRP pultruded profiles are used.
