Overview of Fiberglass Pultrusion

Fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) Pultrusion is a molding process that involves pulling continuous untwisted yarns, mats, tapes or fabrics soaked in resin, through a heated die under tension and curing to continuously produce fiberglass profiles of any length.

Pultrusion is a special process in the manufacturing of fiberglass, suitable for producing fiberglass profiles of various cross-sectional shapes, such as rods, tubes, solid profiles (I-shaped, U-shaped, square profiles) and hollow profiles, etc. Its advantages are:

1. The FRP production process is continuous, resulting in stable product quality and good repeatability;

2. The reinforcement material content can be adjusted according to requirements, resulting in high product strength;

3. The longitudinal and transverse strength of the FRP product can be adjusted to meet different usage requirements;

4. Complex cross-sectional shapes of FRP products can be produced to meet the requirements of special occasions;

5. The FRP products have good overall integrity, and the utilization rate of raw materials is high;

6. The investment cost of equipment is low.
